Here’s what to expect when you come in for your free consultation and first CoolSculpting session.
During your consultation our CoolSculpting certified experts will assess the areas of fat you want to treat and develop a personalized treatment plan. We’ll also answer any questions you have relating to treatment at this time. Cool Fact #2: fat cells freeze at a higher temperature than the surrounding tissues so only fat cells die, leaving surrounding tissue unharmed.
CoolSculpting is performed by attaching controlled cooling applicators directly to the areas we are going to be treating. You will feel a suction and cold sensation that soon will diminish. During the treatment you can relax and read or watch tv in our comfortable CoolSculpting room. CoolSculpting® is FDA-cleared to treat visible fat bulges in 9 areas of the body. Some common side effects include temporary numbness, discomfort, and swelling.
The great thing about CoolSculpting is that it is non-invasive and requires no downtime unlike surgery. Most patients only experience minor discomfort during and shortly after the treatment. You can return to your normal activities immediately. You will not see results immediately. Results from your first CoolSculpting treatment will be noticed over a time period of 2 weeks to 2 months and you will notice that the treated area is shrinking.
